How to Build Your Business with a Supportive Inner Circle

by | Business, Kim Beasley | 3 comments

A business is only as good as the person running it right? Well of course this is true but a business is also only as good as the people that make up it's inner circle. I can see you scratching your head and saying “what”? Inner circles can define a business in so many ways.

Some of the ways are obvious like word of mouth advertising while others are not obvious like supporting a worthwhile cause through your business. Whichever way you choose, make sure you have a plan in place to incorporate your inner circle into your efforts.

What is an Inner Circle

A supportive Inner Circle can help you grow your business in ways that you never thought could happen. They can give you advice about your business decisions or steer you in the right way when it comes to financial matters. You can also create an Inner Circle made up of your mentors, peers and even customers. It can become your sounding board for products and services that you want to provide.

How Inner Circles can help define a business

That's because someone in your inner circle can:

  • Spread the word about your business with word of mouth advertising which we all know is one of the best forms of advertising today. Encourage your clients to become part of the effort and ask them to share with their peers or friends.
  • Share your upcoming event via their social media profiles as they connect with their followers and friends.
  • Provide you with feedback and direction when it comes to your business direction.

Inner Circles in action

Recently, I wanted to connect with the Business Women on Google+ so that I could grow my inner circle there. I wanted to do this because of an article that I found on entitled, “Women Are From Pinterest, Men Are From Google+?“. It was important to me that I prove that Business Women from many industries were on Google+ so I started a campaign to connect with as many women as possible. The women came from all over the world and from many industries and some of them were even technology related.

To see the original post that called Business Women to take action, check it at here. As a result of building this great circle of women, I have been able to create a leadership team who is helping me to plan an upcoming event that would further connect Business Women. The importance of this leadership team is that we are actually planning an event that would span the globe. We are making the event accessible globally to allow Business Women from around the globe to meet and network with each other. Currently, we have team members from the US, Canada, and Finland.

If you want to become part of this Inner Circle for Business Women on Google+, just leave a comment on this post with a link to your profile and you will be added to the circle.
