Explore why it’s important to increase business visibility now

Have you wanted to increase business visibility yet you didn't know how too? Do you want to find that “secret formula” that will win you enhanced visibility as you try to reach your target customers? Then let's take a dive into learning about the importance of growing your business visibility online.

In my own experiences, I have found that when I created a strategy to increase business visibility that it helped me stay focused and on target. Case in point, I chose to increase my visibility on Twitter, so I created a simple strategy that would help me connect with others, build relationships, and find my target customers.

By knowing your “why” you can develop a strategy that fits into the goals that you may set. With my Twitter example, one of the things I wanted to do was to build relationships on Twitter. So one of the tasks I chose to do was to participate in Twitter Chats.

Let's try to see if we can figure out the “why” you want to increase business visibility online. To help you figure this out, take a look at this list of exploratory questions and answer them.

  • Do you feel that your business can grow online to reach your target customers?
  • If so, why do you feel that you haven't grown to your potential?
  • If not, why do you want to be stagnant and not grow your visibility?
  • Have you created a strategy for growing your online business?
  • If yes, how are you planning to accomplish your plan?
  • Do you have a team who will help you or will you outsource your tasks to external people?

How do you increase business visibility online?

Just getting online and sending a bunch of messages out on your social media account without a strategy in place isn't enough to help increase business visibility. It's vital that you have a strategy that connects you with others, builds relationships and also shares your knowledge. As I mentioned before, I sometimes use Twitter Chats to do this. One of the chats that I participate in is the #BufferChat which is available weekly on Wednesdays.

Another way of how you can increase business visibility is by using video marketing in your business. This is one of the easier ways to BE SEEN so that you CAN SELL. Video marketing is the process of creating videos that you then upload to a website like YouTube. Once you upload it online, then you can share the link to your video with others.  It's also a good idea to have a video marketing strategy that will help you grow your business visibility.

What tools can you use to help you grow?

increase business visibilityRight off the bat, I would definitely say that the first tool would be a search engine optimized (SEO) website that has social media sharing integrated into it. By having your website optimized, it can help you get found by search engines. Once you are found by search engines, then you can then connect with your target customers.

Another tool would be social media management software that will easily help you manage your strategic plan to increase business visibility. There are so many and I'm not going to try to name all of them. However, I will say that for those who are just starting out and want a simple combination of social media management and curation, then Buffer and Quuu is a great combination. Buffer manages content that you find interesting and want to share to your different social media profiles. Quuu hand-curated content for different categories that in turn feeds the content to Buffer automatically.
