Apple is the darling of many entrepreneurs and businesspeople for its record profits and its story of overcoming the odds to become one of the world's most successful tech companies. And while there are a lot of things to learn from what it does right, there are also lessons to be gained from what it does wrong.

While Apple did weather the storm and did make amends with many of its customers, it made a lot of missteps along the way. As an entrepreneur, you can learn from what Apple did during its crisis and apply it to your own company.

Here are a few things, both positive and negative, that small businesses should take away from Apple's Antennagate.

In July, Apple proved itself vulnerable when videos began to surface, showing that the iPhone 4's reception dramatically dropped if held at the bottom corner of the device. The resulting scandal, now known as Antennagate, struck the company hard.
