Do you have business leaks that are affecting the management of your business? Have you noticed that things are slipping through the cracks and you have no idea where they are going? Then it sounds like you have a business leak.

To some, a business leak may be centered on financial issues or maybe you have teaming problems. Regardless of where you have a business leak, it's best that you identify it and determine a solution for how you will fix it. The next articles in this series will deal with “Understanding Your Business Leaks” and “Fixing Your Business Leaks”.

Some of the ways that I've found where I have experienced business leaks are below:

  • Paying for services that I do not use on a regular basis.
  • Not using business resources that I have purchased to benefit my business.
  • Missing out on opportunities to network with potential clients.
  • Missing out on opportunities to participate in a joint venture with a business associate.

This is just the start of a long list of ways that I've identified which are causing business leaks for me. What are some of the ways that you have found where you have business leaks? When you take the time to stop and think about it, you will probably be surprised by how many you will come up with. Please share some of the business leaks that you identify.
