Tip 1: While becoming a vegan is not the answer for everyone; incorporating more vegan meals into your weekly meal plan is a smart idea. If you are not into tofu, just focus on vegetables, grains, legumes, and fruit for your meals and snacks. You can also try the vegan convenience foods like Amy's and Boca products. Just note that while they are healthier options than their non-vegan, they are not as healthy as fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, and legumes.

Recipe: Smoky Sesame Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz bag frozen green beans
  • 3 tsp smoke
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp granulated garlic
  • 2 tsp magi
  • Sea salt to taste

Directions

Heat oil in pan. Add green beans, smoke, garlic, and magi. Stir and cover. Cook on low heat for 10 -15 minutes until green beans are done but not over done.

Variations:

Add fresh onions and garlic. Spread almond, cashews, or sesame seeds over the green beans once they have cooked
