Is Free Nationwide WiFi On It’s Way?
In my daily reading today, I found on PC World an article about the FCC recently passing a ruling for free nationwide WiFi. This sounds like a great opportunity but of course many companies are not happy about this news. The FCC is now preparing to hold an auction for the airspace that will control the free nationwide WiFi. Yes there are frontrunners already who want to manage the whole process but we will watch to see how this turns out.
I feel that this will affect the small business owner that wants to develop an online or virtual business. Financially, it could cut cost for the almost mandated high-speed internet access to do business daily. Just think of the savings that this could bring to the bottom line for developing a virtual business.
What are your thoughts? Please feel free to share.
