G+ Hangouts and Kim Beasley Featured on NBC LA
Google + Hangouts are fast becoming the hot ticket when it comes to connecting to people all over the world. We like to see people and feel that connection. Even news anchors are getting in on the fun of G+ Hangouts. Recently I was featured on a segment of NBC LA as newscaster Mekahlo Medina spoke of the growing world of Google Plus Hangouts. It was a honor to be featured in this segment for my expertise with G+. Check out the video below:
G+ Hangouts Now “On Air”
Google has been working to make sure that G+ is the best experience and tool possible. The hangouts are an easy way to communicate live with a group. Now hangouts have gotten even better. As part of the beta test program I have been asked to try out “Google Hangouts on Air”. What is it exactly?
Well if you have a business, product or service this “on air” option will become important for you. Now your hangout sessions can be recorded, aired live and streaming as well as aired later to the world.
Hangouts allow you to video conference with 9 people at one time. With the “on air” option after 9 people have entered the hangout, all other users won’t be able to join in on the live chat but will be able to watch the live stream from YouTube. Now that is a powerful marketing tool in the… Continue reading →

- Hangouts: can be used to connect with potential clients or business partners. You can either start your own or join one in progress. Remember the purpose of hangouts is to get to know others. It’s a good idea to approach hangouts from the prospective that you are there to learn about others to see how you can connect to them. Yes share your information but don’t over-share.

Sharing Your Knowledge With Others On Social Media
One of the things that I like to do is share great tips and techniques with others via social media. I find this very rewarding when I know that what I’ve shared has been helpful to many of my friends. I share things like videos, articles or blog posts that have made an impact on me and would be helpful from a business standpoint. In sharing this information, I give credit to the original source along with thanking them for the information. To me, this shows respect to the creator of the content along with a sign of respect for them and their talent.
Unfortunately, I have found that there are some who reshare information without giving credit to the originator of the content. Recently, I shared my thoughts with my friends on Google Plus to see what they felt about this very issue. Below is my original post about… Continue reading →
How Do You View Social Media Networks?
Recently, I created a video that would put into prospective my opinion about social media websites like Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, and Twitter and they view the updates or changes which are made to their websites. This was created to help put into prospective how the owners of each website operates when it comes to updates or changes to their websites.
Take a look at the video below and then share your opinion in the comment section. I’m looking forward to the creative opinions that you share regarding how each network views itself.

Is Google+ Going To Go The Distance Against Facebook and Twitter?
Did you receive an invitation to Google+ yet? An invitation from one of your friends to connect via Google+ is like receiving a golden ticket to Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. In case you didn’t know, Google+ is one of the latest online tools created by Google and it is their attempt to take the power of Google then combine it with social media to give their users an environment that rivals Facebook and Twitter.

During the initial public release during the last week of June, the flurry to get an invitation was in high demand. However after it’s early release, the invitation process was shutdown due to the overwhelming activities of the early adapter of Google+ and the number of people who were invited to join. Many were surprised by this move and were not happy due to the fact that they wanted their friends to try Google+ out… Continue reading →

Email overload? Try Priority Inbox – Official Gmail Blog
Great new feature that is offered with Gmail that automatically learns how you want your email to be prioritized.
Check out the invisible “Like” button that Google has created.
I guess Google released the “Like” button and we didn’t know it. Kind of sneaky.
Check out this article.
Another day and I read another post on how Facebook’s Like button is slowly obliterating Google’s Link as the next currency of the web. The pondered question in this case is what is going to be Google’s counter-offensive against the Like.
The assumption is that Google as a search engine has worked on the principle of ranking web pages according to the number of other pages linking to it. Well, here’s the deal: when a person likes something on the web, in most cases, a link is created. Google can see this Link, and hence can understand and incorporate the Like, in its scheme of things.
This mechanism has already been publicized by… Continue reading →
