Recently, I’ve been sharing about a new business tool on Twitter called Blellow.com which is a business social media website where you can connect, collaborate and communicate with other business people. Listen as the CEO, Mandi Leman shares about Blellow and how it can be very beneficial for business people.
I ventured into using my mobile phone to capture video and I was excited. It was so much fun and then I decided to upload my video to Facebook and realized that my video format was 3GPP. After researching, I realize that this is a new video format for 3G phones. Not good if you need to upload to Facebook because Facebook doesn’t recognize this format.
So I researched and found a software program that allowed me to import my 3GPP videos and then convert them to AVI format which Facebook recognizes and uploads. You can find this free software download at What is 3GPP webpage. After downloading and installing the software I found it easy to use and straightforward.
I’ve been using Grisoft AVG Anti-Virus software for many years. Recently I started experiencing a problem that I couldn’t seem to solve until I did some research to fix it. The error message was “Invalid Update Control CTF File” and this error wouldn’t allow me to update my AVG anti-virus software.
So I researched online and thanks to WinHelpOnline.com, I am providing the solution below:
- You need to first remove the .CTF files that are causing the problem. It’s usually found at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avg8\update\download or C:\ProgramData\avg8\update\download\ (this is where I found mine for the 64-bit computer).
- Once you locate the files (mine were avginfoavi.ctf & avginfowin.ctf) you need to select and delete them.
- When they are deleted, you can then run the “Update Manager” again and it should update your software.
If these steps don’t work for you, please visit the Grisoft AVG Help Desk for more information. Let me know if this worked for you.
Last week, I thought I was seeing things when my Google Gmail started going through changes. The colors were all over the place and I thought something was wrong. Yet once everything settled down, I realized the Gmail had gone through a facelift.
What does the facelift entail? Glad you asked. If you are using the “New HTML” version of Gmail, you will be able to change the look of your Gmail by using the “Theme” tab. You can even add a third column to your screen so that you can move things around like your labels/folders.
Check out the video below and let me know what you think.
I was alerted this morning to the fact that Twitter was featured in an article by http://WallStreetJournal.com by Twitter @BloggersBlog. It’s great to see that many more media sources are finally realizing the power of Twitter.
