THIS MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY MARK PEAY WANTS YOU TO REMEMBER TO “GET ALONE”

Gospel Sensation Mark Peay Celebrates his Upcoming Album Release of “Alone with You” With a Web Site Launch on May 31.

California contemporary Christian artist Mark Peay will debut his new web site MarkPeay.com on May 31 to showcase his new album, “Alone with You, Live from the Faithdome”, scheduled to be released June 15. The new web site shines the spotlight on Peay’s body of work while providing a soul stirring glimpse into the producer, playwright, pianist and worship artist.

Peay is a sought-after teacher and music workshop clinician. He has served as a Music Director for Grammy nominated vocalist, Kelly Price and famed playwright, Tyler Perry, as well as numerous church ministries including Crenshaw Christian Center Ministries, where he serves as Music and Worship Arts Coordinator under the leadership of Apostle Frederick K.C. Price and Pastor Frederick Price, Jr.

MarkPeay.com offers web site visitors the opportunity to preview and purchase “Alone with You, Live from the Faithdome”, as well as Peay’s other musical ministry works. The site also showcases Peay’s extraordinary musical children’s stage play, “Lemonade!” and his powerhouse music and arts workshops.

“Lemonade!” is the inspirational urban tale that depicts the determination and perseverance of a group of talented young performers who must succeed against all odds to fulfill their desire to be America’s next Super-Star Sensation. Needing to raise funds for their share of expenses to travel out of state for the audition, they encounter powerful life-lessons in their journey and develop lasting friendships along the way.

Soloists, church choirs, and musicians who are looking for an edge to make their voices and talents stand out can book Peay for a workshop.  Communicating the Pastor’s vision through song, developing and growing a Worship Arts Ministry, how to create a fresh, relevant sound and more are covered in the workshops.

For more information about Mark Peay or to book him for an interview, email info@markpeay.com or contact (213) 290-4556 (LA) or (404) 419-6806 (Atlanta). Gospel music fans who are thirsty for more of Peay’s music can “Get Alone” with him on Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace.

How Much Is Too Much Sharing On Social Media?

Just as so many people around the world do, I enjoy connecting with others via social networks like Facebook or Twitter. Sharing about my latest projects or great news that’s happening in my life are a couple of the things that I have in common with many other social media users. One great question I have is, “How much is too much sharing on social media?”

SPOILER ALERT: A lot of information is shared about a recent “Criminal Minds” episode entitled “It’s Out There”.

Recently, I watched a TV show called “Criminal Minds” and it had an episode about a stalker/killer who was stalking women who shared many personal details about their lives online using various social media websites. He would initially offer to install high-speed Internet access and at the same time he would install a single small camera that would allow him to monitor their activities. Then he would take his time getting to know them and breaking into their homes when they weren’t there to install more small cameras. He would also follow them online to see what they were sharing about their lives and he eventually started following them around until he entered their homes one final time and killed them.

I know this is a TV show and that this is somewhat extreme, but I view it as a very cautionary tale for “how much is too much sharing on social media”? I’m not trying to scare anyone about sharing information on social media websites, I just want to inform you about the dangers of sharing too much information. The video below is about 5 minutes from the episode that is very detailed and should only be watched by adults due to the nature of the video. I am so adamant about informing others about this issue that I felt it necessary to share this video. Please feel free to share your own views by leaving a comment below.

SPOILER ALERT: this shares about 5 minutes from the “Criminal Minds” show and is very detailed. Only suitable for adult audiences.

    Understanding Your Business Leaks

This entry is part 2 of 2 in the series Business Leaks

This is the second in a series about dealing with “business leaks” and the focus of this article is “Understanding Your Business Leaks”. If you missed the first one in the series, you can find it by clicking on the series title, “Business Leaks”, to the right.

Now that we’ve gone through the process of identifying our “business leaks”, let’s start the process of understanding what their impact means to running a business. A “business leak” can have a small impact like needing to simply change a process to be more efficient or it could be big like a major cost-savings on services or products.

Case in point, I mention in the first article that I was paying for services that I hadn’t been using on a regular basis. Below are some numbers to think about:

    • Monthly cost for the services: $47
    • Number of months paid for the service: 6
    • Number of times used: 2
    • Total cost for service: $282
    • Cost per use: $141

As you can see, I only used the service twice in the 6 months that I paid for it, so my average cost per use was $141. So does that look like a business leak to you? I would say that it definitely does and I stopped using the service. What are some of the ways that you have tried to understand your business leaks? Please share them by leaving a comment below.

In the video below, information is shared that focuses on the “latest ideas for accessing finance”.

    Identifying Your Business Leaks

This entry is part 1 of 2 in the series Business Leaks

This is the first in a series about dealing with “business leaks” and the focus of this article is “Identifying Your Business Leaks”.

Do you have business leaks that are affecting the management of your business? Have you noticed that things are slipping through the cracks and you have no idea where they are going? Then it sounds like you have a business leak.

To some, a business leak may be centered on financial issues or maybe you have teaming problems. Regardless of where you have a business leak, it’s best that you identify it and determine a solution for how you will fix it. The next articles in this series will deal with “Understanding Your Business Leaks” and “Fixing Your Business Leaks”.

Some of the ways that I’ve found where I have experienced business leaks are below:

    • Paying for services that I do not use on a regular basis.
    • Not using business resources that I have purchased to benefit my business.
    • Missing out on opportunities to network with potential clients.
    • Missing out on opportunities to participate in a joint venture with a business associate.

This is just the start of a long list of ways that I’ve identified which are causing business leaks for me. What are some of the ways that you have found where you have business leaks? When you take the time to stop and think about it, you will probably be surprised by how many you will come up with. Please share some of the business leaks that you identify.
