Positive Encouragements for Teens Dealing with Cyberbullying and Self-esteem Issues

When Katherine Schwarzenegger was interviewed recently, said that her book, “Rock What You Got” focuses on cyber-bullying. During her interview she shared how she experienced cyber-bullying and self esteem issues. Even with parents who are celeberties, Maria Shriver & Arnold Schwarzenegger, she still had to deal with many of the same issues as other teens.

According to the Teen Advice section on About.com, cyberbullying is…

Cyberbullying is any harassment that occurs via the Internet. Vicious forum posts, name calling in chat rooms, posting fake profiles on web sites, and mean or cruel email messages are all ways of cyberbullying.
With this mind, the message that Katherine shares when speaking, or in her book, is a great start to encouraging positive encouragements. She shares that it was advice from her mother that helped her deal with what she went through as a teen regarding cyber bullying and self esteem issues. Because she had such a solid relationship with her mom, it helped her come out with a healthy view of herself. Now in college, Katherine wants to encourage young women to feel good about themselves and to be positive about their body image.
