Healthy Living: Developing my exercise habits

I took a little bit of a break during my 21 days to Healthy Living because I’m in the process of moving. But I do want to start back sharing how I’m developing my exercise habits during this time. I’ve shared how I am checking out Zumba and I’m loving it.

Another exercise that I added to my list is the slider. After talking ot my personal trainer, she said that it would be a great idea to add the slider because of the lateral movements I get to do during workout. I’ve been really excited to see my progress. I can tell that my choise to start-up with my healthy living program was a great idea.

Have you started your healthy living program? Do you have insight about a healthy living program to share with others? Please feel free to share.

Hello Kim, I’ve been an aerobics instructor since 1996 and love the opportunity to help others empower themselves by taking their bodies to the next level. I’ve faithfully worked out 1-2 hours daily since that time (exception during pregnancy).

I do have to work on my eating habits, I’ve made progress during the last year (no red meats, basically no fried foods, etc. I look forward to seeing you progress on your journey.

I think that encouraging someone to do a healthy living program may
be one of the hardest things to do. Just like getting someone to
quit smoking, the person has to WANT to do it. You can talk all
day long about drinking pure water, eating healthier foods, and
getting some exercise. People deep down want to look like the supermodel,
but I don’t think they realize that to live healthier they don’t have to
look like a supermodel. It can be small changes each day, like taking that
extra walk around the block, or practicing some relaxation techniques.
Keep up the good work with your series.
