Healthy Living: How I’m changing my eating habits

I like many enjoy eating delicious food yet most delicious food may be high in fat or calories which are not good for you when you are trying to eat healthy. So I decided that I would find an alternative way to cook some of the foods that I like the most.

One of the foods that I really like eating and cooking is greens and I used to put a lot of fatty ingredients in them when I would cook them. Instead of using pork ham hocks, I now use smoked turkey in it’s place. I realize that it is all about making wise choices and being willing to stick to those choices when cooking my favorite foods.

    I love smoked turkey in greens – just had some last week. And the kids love it too.
    I’m actually trying to go without any meat, (turkey, chicken – is mostly what I have to give up) So I wasn’t too happy with hubby for buying and cooking the smoked turkey. But I wasn’t so unhappy as to not eat it up! So good.

    This diet change thing is such a challenge…Latara’s enticing recipes will help, as soon as I DECIDE to really be serious.
