Healthy Living: Face the reality of changing life for a healthier me

I’m on my fourth day of my healthy living series and I have come to realize that it’s a mindset issue more than anything. So I stared facing this reality yesterday when I was at McDonald’s. I chose a side salad instead of french fries when I ordered my meal. Though this may seem like a simple choice, it actually wasn’t.

As I continue my healthy living series, the reality is that if I want to become healthier that I do have to make right choices that are good for me. Having this mindset will help keep me focused on becoming healthier and truly having a life changing experience.

Have you been battling with getting the right mindset so that you can face the realities of healthy living? Then I encourage you to make the choice today to face reality and do what right for you. So true Kim. It’s the mindset that is the difference.

We can have all the right strategies and information and even gurus, but if a person’s mindset is not positive and faithful – basically, if it’s not love based, their efforts will not be as fruitful as it could be.

I try to begin each and every day with silence, gratitude, prayer and the Word to keep my mindset on right track.

And your other point about surrounding yourself with the right people is also huge because therein lies the mindset. My mother always said, what we’ve all heard before – “show me your friends and I’ll show you your future.” People we choose to be around have tremendous impact on our mindset.

Oh and btw, the asian salad from McD’s is so good – I’ve had at least 3-4 per week since discovering it at the beginning of the summer. I also discovered their ice cream cones too though! (they are made with low fat milk, very low calories :-) )

Congratulations on taking on this lifestyle change – takes courage! It’s also very encouraging.
And thanks too for inviting me to add a tip or two! :-)

    Abundant Success,
    Julette Millien
